角張ったものが多い市場の中で、家具に合わせて丸みを帯びた柔らかい印象jのカードリーダーをデザインした。特殊な塗装をした前面の透明なアクリル板の下から、ロゴやマークがLEDの点灯により浮かび上がる。使用しないときは上部の電源以外のLEDが消えるので、ロゴやマークは見えず本体は空間に溶け込むが、角のとれた正方形の形状が程よくその存在感をアピールする。形状、サイン、LEDの点灯など必要最低限の要素のみ残し、整理することを心がけてデザインした。

In the market where there are many angular products, we designed a card reader with a soft impression that is rounded to match the furniture. Logos and marks emerge from under the transparent acrylic plate on the front, which has been specially painted, by lighting the LEDs. When not in use, the LEDs other than the power supply on the top are turned off, so the logo and marks are not visible and the main unit blends into the space, but the square shape with rounded corners gives it a moderate presence. I kept only the minimum necessary elements such as shapes, signs, and LED lighting, and designed it with an eye to organizing it.
